Job Brief

The position requires a passionate and energetic Reporter to join our media team. The position holder will be responsible for delivering fresh and interesting news to our audience.

Reporter Responsibilities

• Keep up with all the local and global happenings
• Cover a wide variety of stories
• Conduct and schedule interviews
• Plan, edit, and write stories and articles for publication
• Verify information provided by interviewees.
• Finalize news content
• Follow news events and other media sources to stay informed.

Required Skills or Experience

Must have:

• A minimum of 2-3 years working experience in the industry
• Great interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining calmness under pressure
• Proven customer support experience
• Track record of achieving targets
• Strong phone handling skills and active listening
• Familiar with “Airwatch” systems and practices
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• High level of honesty and integrity.

Qualifications

• A degree in Journalism or any related field required .
