  • POSITION : MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER
  • REPORT TO : RESEARCH, MONITORING & EVALUATION MANAGER
  • LOCATION : HEAD OFFICE (ACCRA)

 

JOB ROLE: The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will primarily assist in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of assigned projects in the Association.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in conducting monitoring and evaluation exercises of assigned projects.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to and compliance with IPPF standards and project specific standards.
  • Support the coordination of all research activities in the Association. This will include but not limited to research study design; designing appropriate instruments for data collection; data analysis; and report writing among others.
  • Support the undertaking of periodic analysis on performance standards and trends for effective decision making.
  • Support the management of the Association’s Programmatic and Service Statistics database including entries
  • Support in the compilation and submission of Programmatic and Financial reports
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • A first degree in social sciences, public health, demography, statistics, development studies, computer science or its equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience.

OTHER QUALITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • A good knowledge in the application of statistical and analytics software e.g. SPSS, Stata, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Relevant experience in field research activities.
  • Have strong analytical skills: including qualitative and quantitative skills.
  • Attentiveness to details.
  • Have a very high sense of responsibility, accuracy and dependable.
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be a team player, be able to take initiatives and have the ability to work for long hours with little or no supervision.
