A reputable multicultural company is looking to employ the services of an Executive Assistant. The role reports to the Managing Director.
Job Description
The successful candidate shall;
- Act as a first point of contact: deal with correspondence and phone calls of the MD
- Manage the MD’s diary, organize meetings and appointments, often control access
- Organize events and conferences
- Perform miscellaneous tasks to support the MD, which will vary according to the sector and to the manager’s remit, e.g. conducting research
- Successfully complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence and other tasks that facilitate the CEO's ability to effectively lead the company
- Prioritize conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
- Research, prioritize and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the MD, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
- Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the MD's office and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff
- Work closely and effectively with the MD to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, follow up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the MD updated.
- Other duties as may be required.

Academic Qualification and key skills;
- A very good degree in Computer science or related degree from a recognized university.
