An Organization (Client) seeks the services of competent and experienced individuals for the following position:Project Manager (Building Construction)

• Job Location:  Kwahu-Eastern Region
• Employment Type: Fixed Term (one (1) year contract subject to renewal)
• Report to:  Project Director

Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the overall direction, completion of assigned the construction projects.

Project Manager Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from beginning to end.
• Manage every aspect of the development process including general contractors, vendors and specialty contractors.
• Manage each phase of the building project including contracting, construction, stores management, store turnover and project close out.
• Plan, schedule and implement project timelines.
• Ensure quality control and assurance.
• Provide direction and support to the project team
• Present reports on project progress, problems, and solutions.
• Manage delivery schedules and translate store requirements to available inventory
• Alert team of lost or missing material items; monitor and drive sourcing issues for timely resolution
• Follow  policies and work instructions applicable to the position.
• Maintain safe and clean work by complying with all procedures, rules and regulations
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, sub-contractors, architects etc to determine the specifications of the project.
• Supervise and manage labour on site by overseeing payment approval, work approval and material approval
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and requested.

Required Skills or Experience

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or any related field.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in the Construction/Project Management Industry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
• Excellent team player skills and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.
