Job Description

Our client, a credit bureau company is looking to hire a proactive Business Development Officerto help with their operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE
The  successful candidate will identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase company sales. He/She will also identify company products and services that are underperforming, developing an in-depth knowledge of company offerings, pricing, policies, and improving existing sales proposals

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing strategies for marketing the company’s services and new products to existing and prospective clients.
  • Overseeing market campaigns and other activities that will lead to market creation for the company.
  • Conducting client business analysis and identifying opportunities for new business with existing customers and successfully converting such opportunities.
  • Identifying new business opportunities/ value proposition for the company.
  • Conducting periodic research on market trends.
  • Developing new products and services for the company based on available information and captured customers’ intentions.
  • Managing new opportunities for the company.
  • Identifying relevant trainings to company’s customers and marketing the trainings identified.
  • Conceiving and organizing events/ activities to launch new products and promote the company brand.
  • Conduct research, assemble and analyze data to prepare reports and presentations.
  • Prepare agenda in advance; assist with and provide research/background information, content development and the creation of presentations for customer trainings.
  • Review and summarize reports and documents on customers’ monthly data quality issues
  • Documentation and record-keeping; maintaining legal agreements, regulatory documents etc.

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate / Postgraduate (background in Economics/ Business Management / Administration/ Marketing/ Sales).
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales / business development / account management in the B2B sectors with a preference for experience in the Banking/Financial Services Industry.
  • Connections in the banking and financial services community would be advantageous.
  • Successful track record in business development and sales growth.
  • Understanding of the credit bureau industry would be advantageous.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Good inter-personal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Self-driven with a high level of energy, and willingness to work in a dynamic set-up.
  • Effective communicator with people management, networking skills and the ability to lead / manage teams in a multi-cultural set-up would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be deadline-Oriented
  • Sharp time management skills
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
