Job Description

We are part of an organization that has been designing and manufacturing apparel which include African designs over the last 22 years. We are founding this organization to assist the women working in the tailoring industry to become independent and skillful. We are looking for a competent Program Officer / Coordinator to undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks.

You will help in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carry out important operational duties. To be an excellent program coordinator, you must be organized and detail-oriented and comfortable working with diverse teams.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Plan Events/Projects for Fundraising/Marketing
• Create/manage the website and social media 
• Identify and make grant applications
• Develop and maintain partnerships with other organizations/donors
• Create budgets and manage the foundation’s account.
• Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities
• Ensure the implementation of policies and practices
• Prepare paperwork and order material
• Keep updated records and create reports or proposals

Required Skills or Experience

• Proven experience as a program coordinator or relevant position
• Knowledge of program management and development procedures
• Knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping and reporting
• Knowledge of fundraising and marketing techniques
• Tech-savvy, proficient in MS Office
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and efficient
• BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field
• 2 years' working experience in the field.
• Applicants should be between the ages of 25-50
• Must have experience in the fashion industry / manufacturing industries
