Oxfam has been working in Ghana since 1986, managing programs related to food security and livelihoods, universal access to education and healthcare and transparency and accountability in extractive industries (mining, oil and gas). These resources are accessed by both teachers and learners to improve on their teaching and learning processes. These resources are generic and global in nature and do not align with Ghana Education Service approved syllabuses for Junior High Schools. As part of the processes of building the ICT tools (ideasbox and koombooks), Oxfam in Ghana was supposed to provide LWB with local content materials based on the Ghana Education Service approved syllabuses for Junior High Schools. This was not done because of copy right issues in the country. Consequently, the resources and materials in the ICT tools are currently not context relevant and not based on the GES approved syllabuses.
