REPORTS TO: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE
The Sales & Marketing Officer will serve as the key point of contact between the organization and its clients, answering queries, offering advice and introducing new products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contributes information, ideas, and research to help develop Marketing & Sales strategies.
- Helps to detail, design, and implement marketing plans for each product or service being offered.
- Sets Marketing & Sales schedules and coordinates with colleagues, sponsors, media representatives, and other professionals to implement strategies across multiple channels.
- Develop Marketing & Sales strategies and approaches for various products and services, such as special promotions, sponsored events, etc.
- Answer questions from clients about product and service benefits.
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients through superior customer service
- Track sales data and work to meet quotas or sales team goals
- Analyses trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance
- Create and present regular performance reports for Management and Executives
- Implements and adheres to company policies and procedures
- Prospect for new clients to build a database for the company
- Convert sales to achieve desired target as given to the department
- Prepare and send reports weekly

Required Skills or Experience
- A good first degree /HND in marketing or its equivalent.
- Four (4) years post qualification and industrial experience in Marketing & Sales activity
- Professional affiliation will be an advantage
Technical
- Ability to research and develop various Marketing & Sales strategies for products and services.
- Ability to implement Marketing and Sales plans and work to meet sales quotas.
- Ability to tracks marketing and sales data and identifies areas of improvement.
- Must have entrepreneurial drive, passion and ability to help shape the organization’s marketing and communication strategy.
- Strong Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Managerial:
- Ability to plan, coordinate and follow up to monitor people and work activities
- Ability to design and implement control systems and take corrective action to correct deviations.
Personality:
- Ability to communicate effectively with all manner of people
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and execute projects
- Ability to work in a fast paced and often pressurized environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
