Job Description

The contract and proposal manager is primarily responsible for the development of profitable but realistic proposals and contracts. He or she will drive the scope of work and budgeting processes as well as ongoing monitoring of contracts compliance. 

Role and Responsibilities 

• Creating and updating budget sheet templates, proposal templates, and contract templates 
• Evaluating solicitation documents and request for proposal documentation.
• Organizing and participating in strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements. 
• Creating and updating accurate budgets reflecting company and client needs 
• Creating and updating client specific proposals 
• Initiation, and in cooperation with Business Development, preparation of contracts. 
• Reviewing client comments in contract, performing contract negotiations and finalizing contracts
• Preparing, in cooperation with project managers and technical teams, Change Orders 
• Reviewing and/or prepare other agreements such as vendor agreement and confidentiality agreement.
• Contributing to other areas of the business as required by Management

Required Skills or Experience

• Relevant academic degree, preferably Master’s level 
• Five or more years’ experience in proposal or contract coordination/management in a professional services firm
• Demonstrable knowledge of operational aspects of environmental matters  
• Experience in building or implementing costing tools, as well as standardized proposal development processes and procedures 
• Good computer skills with Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge 
• Experience in e-commerce and online business development tools and applications
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills 
• Team player, flexible, and ability to comply with strict deadlines
