Job Description

OVERVIEW

A recognized Freight Forwarding company is looking to employ a Commercial Sales Executive to support the Business Unit of the organization while creating and executing Trade Lane and Sector Focus Commercial strategies for the company based on the USPs and core competencies of the organization.

 


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  1. Support the organisation’s business units and network offices.
  2. Ensure that key account activities for A & B customers are aligned with the agreed KPIs (reports sent on time
    and to quality by Operations).
  3. Deliver the country budget by maintaining a healthy business pipeline, good contractual performance and
    proactive thinking.
  4. Win, retain and develop strategic customers.
  5. Plan and manage accounts.
  6. Gather customers and market information to update business units on product and current trends.
  7. Manage relationship with key customers as customer point of contact at country level.
  8. Create and execute trade lane and sector focus commercial strategies for the company based on the USPs
    (Unique Selling Propositions) and core competencies of the organization.
  9. Explore opportunities with existing customers for Upsell to increase Creseada’s share of wallet with customer
    and Cross sell to increase engagement with customers.
  10. Ensure all the business units work in a synchronised way rather than in isolation to ensure seamless service
    delivery to customers when more than one BU is involved on a project.
  11. Drive joint customer meetings with Strategic A & B customers to ensure Creseada moves from a transactional
    level provider to a strategic level provider to the customer.
  12. Ensure that all overseas and local RFI / RFP/ RFQ are sent on time by Pricing & Invoicing, and that Pricing &
    Invoicing gets the required support from respective BUs to put the pricing together.
  13. Customer implementation to ensure proper operational handover and implementation to meet customer’s
    expectations (SLA’s & SOPs).
  14. Ensure recovery of profit share from origin stations on shipments.
  15. Coordinate with the Business Development team & Operations on customer enquiries, business reviews &
    account planning.
  16. Work collaboratively with network partners other overseas offices and actively engage in sales lead generation process (incoming and outgoing) for business growth.
  17. Support Finance in control of credit and collections.
  18. Ensure recovery of profit share from origin stations on shipments.
  19. Support Organization and the Business Development team in their commercial endeavor to gain new customers, service existing customers and grow business to achieve set budgets and targets.
  20. Liaison with external Stakeholders like Creseada’s overseas partners and agents

Performance Management Responsibilities

  1. 16 face to face customer visits per week.
  2. Ensure healthy pipeline for new and existing businesses to support the Bus.
  3. Ensure monthly conference calls with key partner countries to develop trade lane.
  4. Ensure that all Tenders and RFQs are responded in a timely way and to expected standard of quality.

Strategic Responsibilities

  1. Support the organization and sales team in their commercial endeavor to gain new customers, service existing customers and grow business to achieve set budgets and targets.
  2. Liaise with external Stakeholders e.g. overseas partners and agents.
  3. Awareness, understanding and application of quality policy on assigned jobs.
  4. Awareness, understanding and application of departmental /process quality objectives.
  5. Awareness of contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS, including the benefits of improved performance.
  6. Awareness of the implications of not conforming with Creseada’s QMS requirements.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of HND or BSc in any field
  • Professional Qualification: Added Advantage
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience
  • Basic IT System Skills- PowerPoint, Word & Excel.
