Position Summary:
The company is in search of an experienced Human Resource and Administration Manager (HRAM) to lead, direct and manage the day-to-day Human Resources and Administrative activities of the company. The HRAM will provide oversight and guidance to the development and monitoring of routine functions and processes related to recruitment and retention, benefits and compensation, performance management, training and compliance, as well as oversee administrative functions. The HRAM will provide strategic guidance on Human Resources to top leadership. This position requires the ability to promote corporate values and act as a trusted resource to senior level executive team.

Responsibilities:

Human Resources

  • Provision of strategic Human Resource and Admin. guidelines to ensure that the company’s HR & Admin objectives are met
  • Provision of timely, accurate, clear and complete HR & Admin. information to Management and other stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining Human Resource Policies and procedures for the company
  • Managing the talent acquisition process by performing job analysis; preparing effective job descriptions; recruitment and selection of individuals with the highest potential
  • Drafting employment contracts and correspondence
  • Designing and implementing programmes that integrate newly engaged staff into the company
  • Monitor and administer compensation and benefits by analysing trends; researching and proposing competitive base and incentive pay programs; including annual salary merit increases to promote internal equity & compliance
  • Ensuring that all staff are appraised and given performance feedback
  • Collaborating with heads of departments to create annual training plans, and other learning and development initiatives for staff
  • Managing employee data confidentially
  • Overseeing employee disciplinary processes and procedures, investigations and terminations
  • Ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and constantly interpreting HR policies and the Labour Act to Top Management
  • Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environment Policies of the company are strictly complied with by all staff
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual HR & Admin reports for Top Management

Administration 

  • Directing and controlling the maintenance of office equipment and other facilities 
  • Coordinating rental of accommodation for staff 
  • Performing general administrative duties such as overseeing stationery inventory, security issues, general sanitation, institutional relations with the Fire Service, EPA, Ghana Police Service, the Labour Office, among others 

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related discipline is required
  • A minimum of 5 years’ progressive working experience in Human Resource management is required
  • Relevant professional certification in CIPD, SPHRi, CIHRM etc. is desired

Skills or Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
