Job Description

The successful candidate shall be responsible for external coordination for C.E.O, prospecting business opportunities, do market surveys and research, champion business development, participate in the planning of corporate brand events, prepare presentations on products and services and monitor market leads for the sales and marketing department and attend conferences, meetings and industry events for the Chief Executive. The individual should be familiar with media advertisement, branding and executive branding of corporate organizations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events with and for the C.E.O
  • Developing service and sales proposals for clients.
  • Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
  • Business Development meeting with corporate heads and procurement managers to open business of sale for the main stream marketing team.
  • Market research (competitor weekly updates).
  • Verifying the authenticity of all contracts (ie tenders, construction etc).
  • Monitor and generate a minimum of 20 market leads monthly and their origin.
  • Achieve targets and meet deadlines as would be required on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Achieve a minimum of 2 presentations on products and business development on weekly basis.
  • Coordinate daily calendars of senior managers
  • Plan appointments and events
  • Act as the point of contact between executives and employees/clients
  • Create regular reports and update internal databases
  • Make travel arrangements.

  • Must be meticulous
  • Must be very eloquent and a brand management expert
  • Must be very sociable and results oriented
  • Must pay attention to details
  • Must be honest
  • Must be familiar with government and parastatal organizations.
  • Must have communication skills and experience in corporate marketing.
  • Able to work in teams of diverse background and able to work under pressure.
  • Must have eye for tender opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business administration or marketing or any related program with minimum of 5 years experience in C-Suite, business development, government relations and marketing.
  • Experience in the automobile industry and one with media background would be an added advantage
