Job Description

Job Purpose

  • To undertake Fuel Audits On Sites In Order To Optimise Fuel Consumption

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct physical audits on sites to help the Fuel Desk Analysis
  • Help to control or minimize administrative thefts
  • Identify leakages in the fuel delivery system
  • Help investigate administrative thefts issues per site
  • Investigate fuel spillage incidents

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Any other responsibility that may be assigned from time to time from Fuel Coordinators
  • Comply with SHERQ policies and procedures;
  • Take personal responsibility for your Health and Safety and others within the company;
  • Ensure not to put other people, fellow employees and members of the public at risk by what you do or do not do in the course of your work.
  • Participate in inspections and investigations of accidents;
  • At all-time wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed or required;
  • Not to operate any machinery or equipment without receiving the proper instructions;
  • Always report all accidents, near misses, injuries or symptoms, no matter how minor, immediately or within 12 hours to your manager or supervisor so that they can work with you towards prevention of reoccurring;
  • Encourage co-workers to work Defensively and Safely;
  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions to your manager or supervisor, and also on the requisite forms such as google reporting platform via the link provided where this is applicable and wherever possible remedy those conditions to ensure that no one gets hurt;
  • Always check that guards and safety devices on equipment are used as instructed;
  • Maintain equipment in good and safe working order;
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations;
  • Assist in the creation of a safe work environment by recommending actions that will improve the effectiveness of the SHERQ program.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Ensure accurate audits are regularly conducted per assigned clusters

Required Skills or Experience

Educational Qualification:

  • HND or NABTEX INTERMEDIATE

EXPERIENCE

  • At least one year field working experience

KNOWLEDGE

  • Engineering

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to use smart phones
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Packages

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Reduction in administrative thefts
  • Detection and prompt escallation of anomalies found on site
