Job Description

JOB TITLE: SALES ENGINEER
LOCATION: SPINTEX ROAD, ACCRA

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales Engineer is responsible for partnering with customers to identify needs, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. The Sales Engineer reports to the General Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly sales target
  • Receive and process customer orders in an efficient and accurate manner, as well as provide order status updates
  • Respond to customer enquiries and concerns in a professional manner
  • Offer a variety of product solutions to client
  • Create and maintain sales records
  • Set clear and achievable expectations with clients and achieve them
  • Assists Estimation team to provide quotations to client when required.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct quarterly review of processes to ensure processes are delivering their intended outputs
  • Ensure all assigned non-conformances are adequately addressed and corrected.
  • Report on opportunities for improvement of the Quality Management System
  • Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization

OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify departmental Process Risks and Opportunities
  • Conduct quarterly review of HSE risk profile
  • Evaluate effectiveness of actions to achieve OHSE departmental objectives
  • Evaluate effectiveness of actions to address departmental OHSE risk
  • Address hazards assigned to the department

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the following areas: Engineering, Business, Marketing and Social Sciences
  • At least two (2) years of experience in Sales.
  • Experience in working with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 management systems is an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent Customer service skills

  • Ability to manage relationships and expectations at various levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to sell and cross sell
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
