Job Description

  • Direct Reports:  Project Manager, Marketing Manager, Accounts Manager
  • Indirect Reports:   All Staff
  • Location: Community 25, Tema
  • Employment Status:  Full-time

Position Summary:

We are in search of an experienced and seasoned leader to occupy the position of General Manager who will ensure performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of the company. This individual will oversee all operations, budgets and staff of the company. He/she will be responsible for formulating overall strategy and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping the people to develop and be productive, while ensuring the company’s profits are on the rise.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the running of all departments or functional teams (Sales & Marketing, Projects, Accounts, Administration) in the company.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to track business performance.
  • Ensure proper reports are given, plan for weekly departmental meetings and oversee general report review of the HODs monthly.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and review the company’s marketing strategic plan and budget; ensuring the plans are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversee the review of the company’s progress and liaise with top management to develop better strategic plans for operational activity.
  • Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of administrative functions to improve the company’s productivity.
  • Work with the Managing Director and Marketing Manager to develop annual and monthly revenue targets.
  • Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the company.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Executive Management.

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Estate Management, Land Management, Business Administration or related field. A Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role or 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role is required.
  • Experience in the Real Estate industry (including land sale) will be a plus.
  • Analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve business goals.
  • Result oriented and be able to execute and develop marketing strategic plans.
  • Proven track record of effective leadership skills.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite or related applications.
  • Must reside in Tema or surrounding areas.
