Job Description

The Graphic Designer Role will be a full-time position based in Accra, Ghana. Working from agreed design briefs, the designer will use text and images to communicate information and ideas. S/he will design graphics for use in marketing collaterals and tools such as brochures, leaflets, magazines, flyers, websites, case studies, labels, advertising and signage. The Designer will report to the Art Director, and will receive technical oversight from the Copywriter. S/he will also provide creative support to our team as and when required.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
• Plan concept by studying information and materials.
• Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Obtain approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
• Prepare finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; and purchasing from vendors.
• Prepare final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; and evaluating new equipment.
• Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies.
• Work with copywriters and creative directors to produce final designs.
• Amend designs after feedback.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Required Skills or Experience:
