Job Description
Pest Control Technician is to inspect and evaluate residential and commercial areas of potential pest infestation to determine appropriate treatment and prevention options. You are to maintain positive company image by competently presenting and explaining service options to customers. As a technician, you are to liaise with the other technicians to facilitate safe, efficient and effective execution of service calls by always acting in accordance with applicable regulatory and company-specific standards. Assisting to investigate and resolve customer complaints by addressing concerns and identifying solutions in a timely manner. You are to maintain accountability by confirming service appointments and updating customer records properly and punctually.
- Assist to inspect commercial and residential buildings and the surrounding property to identify type and source of infestation, determine how much damage has been done and secure access to the infested locations
- Assist in measuring the dimensions of the infested area to calculate the requirements for fumigants for treatment
- Assist to develop treatment plans and prevention methods to remove pest problems for clients and reduce the risk of re-infestation
- Assist to provide clients with safety guide lines and other directions regarding leaving the premises or covering sensitive furnishing and other items during the treatment process
- Assist co-workers during the extermination process to remove or eliminate insects, rodents or weeds
Help to remove dead insects, rodents and weeds, and ensure the premises are free of all treatment chemicals and equipment before leaving the job site.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed for application and re-entry.
- Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials and company vehicle.
- Maintain professional appearance including clean company uniform, appropriate footwear and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Build positive, strong relationships with clients. Work to exceed client expectations. Whenever possible, explain actual or potential problems to clients face-to-face. Manage clients through company provided technology.
- Respond cooperatively with requests for help from fellow employees.
- Work flexible schedule as required to meet client expectations, including occasional weekends and evenings.
- Manage schedule and route to find ways to include unscheduled events into daily route. Respond to client complaints as quickly as possible after receiving notification.

- Establish basic facts in situations which require further investigation and inform others if necessary.
- Gather and record routine data as directed and in accordance with established procedures
- Analyse routine data or information using predetermined procedures and gathering information from standard sources.
- Solve standard day to day problems as they arise, following guidelines or established procedures and recognising when a problem should be referred to a more senior or more appropriate person.
- Make constructive contributions to improvements to team service or procedures.
- Demonstrate proactivity in undertaking tasks rather than expecting work to be allocated

Required Skills or Experience
Pest control technician required skills
- Must possess physical stamina and must be able to withstand long hours of work that requires standing for hours.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English language
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be detailed oriented and the ability to read and write comprehensively and be able to follow both oral and written instructions
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship and communication with clients professionally.
- Must be able to drive
