Job Description

A reputable licensed private security company with its head office in Accra and branches in other parts of the country is urgently looking for qualified candidate to fill the vacant position of a Security control room Operator

  • Department: Operations
  • Reports Directly to: (to whom the person directly reports) Operations Manager
  • Significant Relationships:
    • Internal - All staff 
    • External - Suppliers / Clients

Job Purpose/ Summary of Role
Responsible for utilizing and operating all the systems within the control room, ensuring that all requests for assistance are attended to and that all security electronic systems are operating to their optimum.

Clients Core Responsibilities/ Duties

  • Perform Control Room daily operations with high integrity and efficiency.
  • Monitor CCTV, Alarm (Panic and Intruder) systems during the shift and report any unusual activity to the OP and/or post on the EAS What Sapp page.
  • Respond promptly to the radio checks, made by the staff and keep accurate records of all communication. Also, prepare Radio Checks Report for OP/HOP
  • Keep a record of staff members, going on visits & keep a record of any incidents and report these to the Operations Manager/Head of Operations.
  • Monitor Vehicle and Staff movements via our Geo Location software and report any alarm activation to the HOP/OP
  • Inform OM and Operations Officer (OO) of any Security related incident. Instigate telephone Tree where and when directed to do so.
  • Manage the main switchboard, answer all the calls courteously and direct them to the right department promptly and courteously.
  • Manage Store and inventories record management with the Administrator.
  • Collect and enter EAS Staff details in respective database and update multiple databases used in daily operations of Control Room.
  • Deal with in & out of office hours Pakistan Official/Emergency Medical Visas and Consular Cases. Record their details and inform the relevant duty officers accordingly.
  • Any other duty as directed by the Operations Manager/Head of Operations. Person Specification & Position Requirements:

Required Skills or Experience

  • Education: HND, Degree, Private Investigator License
  • Experience: 3 years and more
