Job Description

PESTS CONTROL MANAGEMENT TECHNICIANS WANTED, Accra

Our client is accepting applications for Pest Control Manager to be based in Accra, 

Responsibilities:

Your duties and responsibilities shall include the following.

ADMINISTRATION

  • You shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Management requirements
  • You shall be responsible for all Tax and Statutory payments
  • Responsible for all payments due Company
  • All office related payments (water, ECG, Internet, WIFI)
  • Develop and Oversee Office admin and technical team work including the development of good operational systems
  • Organize training to update staff skills
  • Prepare reports for completed jobs for key clients and follow up on all complaints
  • Manage all chemicals and work-related materials
  • Be responsible for the management of all office vehicles including maintenance.
  • You shall report to work at 8.00am and finish at 5.00 pm with an hour break, Monday to Friday at the office.
  • You may be asked to work at any location within the franchise territory and some weekends as the work demands.

OPERATIONS

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a pest control work by using training provided to ensure the most efficient pest solution for our operational staff and customers
  • Supervise operational staff daily route schedule, ensuring timely arrival at each customer. (A company vehicle is provided.)
  • Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and cross sell additional services. Discuss the scope of services provided with the customer.
  • Supervise the application of all products according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
  • Supervise staff response to customer service requests, address concerns and support the provision of verbal and written communication in a timely manner.
  • Ensure staff return customer calls within 48 hours and notify customers of treatment details upon request.
  • Supervise the maintenance of a professional image through daily attention to vehicle and equipment maintenance and cleanliness as well as personal, professional appearance.
  • Ensure staff accurately and professionally complete all service-related paperwork.
  • Ensure staff obey all vehicle policies and procedures.
  • Promote strong Organizational skills and ability to work independently in the workplace
  • Develop staff’s customer service skills
  • Impact Pest control knowledge including products and service

STAFF MANAGEMENT

  • As the first line of management, all staff requests, complaints and queries shall be channelled through your office.
  • Your reporting line will be to the CEO. 
  • The safety (exposure to chemicals) of staff shall be directly under your care so it’s your duty to make sure staff are in the right attire and protective equipment.

MARKETING

  • You will be required as well to help develop sales channels for the company.
  • The focus will be on new business although you will be also be required to manage existing, and revive dead or cold business.
  • You will work closely with the Head of Marketing in developing promotional and marketing strategies.
  • In liaison with the HOM, build and train a potent sales and marketing team with your strong industry knowledge

Required Skills or Experience

  • A Degree in Business Administration/Banking/Finance/Agriculture or equivalent
Experience
  • 5 or more management experience

The work environment is a combination of field work and home visits. An individual in this role will be calling on residential or commercial customers and must be able to work weekends.
