As a small but busy hotel, we’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Hotel Manager to join our close-knit team and help us continue to offer exceptional service.
Position Overview
The Hotel Manager will oversee all aspects of our hotel operations, ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay. This role requires hands-on management, a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, and experience with online booking platforms such as Booking.com. Please note that only applicants who currently reside in Cape Coast will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Operations
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring the smooth running of all hotel functions including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Implement and maintain high standards of service and cleanliness throughout the hotel.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and other key stakeholders.
Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and excellent service throughout their stay.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Monitor and respond to reviews on online platforms, maintaining a positive reputation.
Online Booking Management
- Manage the hotel’s presence on online booking platforms like Booking.com, ensuring accurate information and availability.
- Adjust pricing and availability based on demand, local events, and competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to increase online visibility and drive bookings.
Financial Management
- Assist in developing and managing the hotel’s budget, including revenue and expense forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance, implementing cost-saving measures where appropriate.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of financial data.
Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and manage hotel staff, fostering a supportive and motivated team environment.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews, providing feedback and development opportunities.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management, preferably in a small to mid-sized hotel.
- Experience managing online booking platforms, particularly Booking.com.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a small team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on personalized guest experiences.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and basic accounting skills.
- Must be a resident of Cape Coast.
