Job Description

  • Position: Accounts Executive 
  • Level: Executive
  • Reporting to: Finance Head
  • Location: Accra, Ghana

Functional Description
The incumbent would be responsible for the payment of all employee related expenses/advances/reimbursements and pay-roll and day to day vendor and other payments

Job Description

  1. Managing payables for BA's monthly payments, RE's salaries, Travel Expense, ECG Bills, Tom Cards payment and other day to day payment. 
  2. Payment and Monthly Reconciliations of Project Advances, Imprest, Salary advances, Travel Advances, etc.
  3. Updating of day to day accounting transitions in quick books on daily basis.
  4. Update daily Cash and Bank payments statement and reconciliation for bank accounts on monthly basis.
  5. Payment and Reconciliations for all Statutory liabilities and collect the WHT certificates for GRA
  6. Visit the Banks for cash withdrawal and cash deposits and to perform other bank related activates.
  7. Follow with BA's for DCR reports to get in timely from all WHC's and update the DCR Data in DCR portal
  8. Monthly Updating of Fixed Assets Register
  9. Vouchers and Bills ( Hard Copies) documentation and Filing in respective files

Required Skills or Experience

  1. Graduation in Accounting/Finance.
  2. Sound knowledge on Quick books accounting software.
  3. Advanced skills on Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. 
  4. The incumbent should have over 2-4 years relevant experience.

Knowledge and Skills Required
1.    Knowledge Required: Functional & Financial Accounting.  
2.    Skills Required: Analytical Ability, Time Management, Customer Centricity and Multi-Tasking.
