Job Description

An international school in the Achimota area is looking to hire an excellent Overall Head of School (Operational Head) and also Primary and Preschool Heads for its growing school.

These should be able to

• Implement a strong and steady curriculum to provide positive learning experiences for children
• Supervise Teachers, Teacher's Aide, and volunteers/interns
• Plan and conduct daily classroom plans, 
• Responsible for entering and maintaining observation logs, and other documentations 
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and Staff Development training/workshops
• Participate in planning and implementation of field trips
• Make sure you create a well disciplined and yet loving environment for the children
• Assess the developmental needs of the children on a timely basis and plan activities to meet their individual needs
• Work with Education Director to ensure equipment and supplies are in good condition
• Participate in Parent Orientation and Parent-Teacher Conferences
• Assist with implementation of the program evaluation process
• Plan and use community resources that enrich the educational content of the program
• Promote sound parent relationships
• Maintain good working relationships with supervisors and peers
• Work with Director in completing annual job performance evaluation of self and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by Director

Required Skills or Experience

Experience:

1. Indept knowledge of the Ghanaian  BECE system
2. Participative leader
3. Ability to relate and handle both parents and staff well
4. Indept knowledge of international educational system a plus
5. Experience on exchange programs a plus
6. Mature, proactive, innovative and BUSINESS ORIENTED.

Education:

• ​Bachelor's Degree in Education or other related field required
• Master's Degree in Education or working towards a Master's Degree 
• Any other qualifications in addition will be considered
