Job Description

The consultant will be trained by Worldreader staff on e-reader use, its effective incorporation into classroom lessons, interactive teaching pedagogy and recommend activities to promote reading both in and out of the classroom. The consultant will then work with Worldreader Program Managers to deliver training to 20 primary school teachers and two support staff located in Haiti. 

 

Required Skills or Experience

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in education; at least 1-2 years of classroom teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering trainings for teachers and educators, as well as knowledge of best practices around teaching.
  • High level of comfort with technology (mobile phones, tablets & e-readers).
  • Fluent in English and French a must; Haitian Creole a plus.
  • Ability to travel to Haiti for two weeks in November 2015.
