Job Description

Oxfam in Ghana, a leading non-governmental organization working on promoting Economic Justice, enhancing Access to Quality Essential Services (Education and Health) for the Poor, and Extractive Governance, is looking for an experienced Finance and Administration Officer for a 2-year fixed term contract.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible and accountable for providing financial and administrative support to the Ghana Country programme and ensuring that policies, procedures and minimum standards of accounting and administration are complied with. An experience in NGO finance and administration processes is desirable

The Finance and Administration Officer will be based in the Accra office with some level of travel to partner locations within Ghana.  

Required Skills or Experience

  • A partly qualified Ghanaian who has specialist knowledge in financial management, has a good understanding of financial policies, procedures and practices.
  • You will be a good communicator and have good interpersonal and supervisory skills as well as strong numerical and financial skills.
  • You will be able to work under pressure, be proactive and have a strong sense of honesty and integrity.
