Job Description

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The Business Development Manager reports to the Managing Director and works to improve the organization’s market position and achieve financial growth. He needs to have some Business Development experience and have an understanding of the building construction industry, ideally with some experience of housing and other sectors.
  • He defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, maintains extensive knowledge of current construction trend and builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships in the construction industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Locates or proposes potential business areas by discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Screens potential business areas by analyzing market feasibility and financials. 
  • Develops negotiating strategies, examining risks and potentials, estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Closes business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan, specifically advising on realistic forecasts for each location (based on historical data, market trends, and competitive activity) and sales promotion programme plans.
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of the Regional Coordinators by establishing a system of reports and communications involving collection and operational reports, meetings, and newsletters. 
  • Plan and implement a specific appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each location, commission targets and administer the commission plan
  • Conduct and submit latest 10th of every month, the performance appraisal of all Revenue Collectors, Enforcement team and staff to the National Coordinator.
  • Prepare a sanction and reward policies for Revenue Collectors and Staff across the company.
  • Responsible for the recommendation of sanctions and rewards to deserving persons in the company.
  • Any other duties/responsibilities assigned by your superiors.
