Sanford Health-Ghana is a non-profit organization, incorporated under the laws of Ghana for the purposes of promoting the health of children and adults, by establishing and operating non-profit healthcare clinics in Ghana. We are a subsidiary of Sanford Health-USA, a non-profit organization headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. With five (5) clinic sites located in three different regions in Ghana, we provide basic healthcare with Specialist services. We provide care to NHIS and Private Insurance clients as well as corporate bodies.

Job Description

Position Summary
Performs work in the operation of a vehicle to ensure safe transportation of clients to and from various destinations and to assist clients on entry and exit from vehicles as necessary. Assumes responsibility for care and maintenance of vehicle; washes and cleans interior; takes to garage for maintenance and repair. Document all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications

Main Duties
The successful candidate must have the ability to:

• Safe transportation of clients to and from assigned destinations
• Inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions before, during and after trips
• Submit written reports on condition of vehicle at the end of every tour of duty
• Ensure the safety of vehicle including tools
• Perform minor repairs and arrange for regular maintenance of the vehicle
• Ensure vehicle is kept clean and in good running condition all the time
• Maintain records for vehicles, logs official trips, record daily mileage, records the use of fuel vouchers and keeps records on consumption
• Keep track of insurance and road worthy compliance issues
• Ensures that, in the event of an accident involving the office vehicle, the necessary steps required by rules and regulations are followed.

Required Skills or Experience

• Minimum of SSSCE Certificate
• At least 3 years of accident free driving experience
• Must be in active driving
• Experience working with diverse groups of people will be an added advantage
