Job Description

BRANCH MANAGER (valid IATA Cat 6 Dangerous Goods certification)

Our client, a leading   global logistics company with the aim of providing their customers with a safe, efficient and compliant logistics service for Hazardous materials is looking to hire a proactive Branch Manager to help with their operations.

ROLE PROFILE
The position requires a dynamic and proactive individual, who will lead and manage all aspects of a high-volume supply chain logistics and freight operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maximize profitability through efficient customer service, effective and prompt communication and follow-up on all pending customer matters.
  • Ensure customer contract requirements are understood and utilized to meet business expectations.
  • Resolve critical or escalated issues affecting the customer, staff, or senior management.
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure accurate record keeping of all operational documents.
  • Work with senior management to develop a business plan and goals for department.
  • Prepare and analyze management and financial reports, budgets, expense reports and forecasts for department.
  • Ensure safety methods, practices and programs are implemented and maintained.
  • Ensure that freight is moved safely and in a timely manner utilizing appropriate equipment and tools.

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related field
  • Valid IATA Cat 6 Dangerous Goods certification

 EXPERIENCE

  • 3- 5 years’ experience in freight, logistics, courier and freight forwarding industry. Specifically, airfreight
  • Strong experience working with cargo classified as hazardous

  REQUIREMENT

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to the strategic growth of the Company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and power point
  • A good team player – relate tolerably with supervisors and subordinates
  • Be able to work under minimum supervision
  • Must be Honest, trustworthy and transparency
  • Exhibit good and effective leadership skills and must be able to achieve goals and set targets within a specific time frame.
