• Liaising with external accountants to ensure timely submission and completion of tax monthly returns, payroll and statutory filing.
• Uploading transactions to our finance software.
• Proactively tracking local cash requirements and reporting expenditures.
• Implementing controls over cash collection.
• Liaising with the local bank.
• Assisting with financial close at month end.
• HR responsibilities including recruitment and onboarding where necessary.
• Health and safety of the workforce.
• Participation in learning and organizational development plans.
• General office duties for the growing Ghana team.

Required Skills or Experience

• Proven ability to cope in a busy and demanding work environment and consistently meet strict deadlines.
• Experience working in a finance and administration role.
• University educated with a related business or finance degree.
• This role requires significant overseas liaison with teams across Africa, the US and the UK. As such strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• A flexible approach and a can do attitude. Supporting with finance activities across the wider group during busy periods will be required.
• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
• Knowledge and experience of employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organizational development, employee relations, Health & Safety, employee development.
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly numerate and organized.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
