Job Description

Our client is a multinational cooperation with companies in the Operations of water treatment plant, solar energy, telecommunications amongst others. We are currently seeking an energetic self driven professional to join our team as a Maintenance Manager

Functional Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance department team (2 supervisors + 4 technicians + 8 or more subcontracted)
  • Establish day work priorities and do the follow up
  • Ensure that works are carried on to the highest standards
  • Assist technicians on the field with hands on the ground
  • Ensure that the preventive maintenance is applied regularly, that corrective maintenance is minimized and, if necessary, swiftly applied
  • Ensure the appropriate spare parts stock
  • Make sure the plant stops the minimum possible time due to maintenance
  • Coordinate with the operation department for the plant maintenance
  • Deal with subcontractors of different areas
  • Ensure appropriate historic records of the interventions and checking on each machine are maintained
  • Manage the department budget
  • Ensure safety and tidiness at work
  • Report regularly to the plant manager

Required Skills or Experience

  • BSc in Electromechanical/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with an option in process controls
  • Must have a professional experience of at least five years with a reputable institution
  • Must have good knowledge on large mechanical equipment and electrical equipment. Knowledge on instrumentation would be a plus
  • Must be fluent in both oral and written English
  • Must be computer literate minimum Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows

Know-How and Skills

  • Not necessarily with work experience as a maintenance manager. But someone with experience in leading teams, both in the field with hands on the ground and in the office organizing people work
  • Planning and organization
  • Professional and technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation areas. Technical knowledge for equipment trouble shooting and reparation on the field
  • Initiative and proactivity
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skill
