Job Description

The Ghana Country Office of Jhpiego Corporation is currently looking for passionate and dynamic person to fill the position of FINANCE ASSISTANT.

Job Summary
Provide financial and administrative support to the Finance Team

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives approved advances and expense reports from program staff and record them in the log.
  • Enters staff advances and vendor payments in QBE.
  • Ensures that payment vouchers are filled on timely basis.
  • Reviews travel expense reports from staff for entry into QBE
  • Ensures that financial documents are stamp ‘paid’ on timely basis.
  • Reviews all financial documents to ensure laid down processes before processing them for payment.
  • Ensures all financial documents are approved.
  • Files all MCSP VAT photocopy for VRPO and submit monthly for review and processing
  • Follow up on VRPO and withholding tax certificates from appropriate agencies
  • Ensures FAA reports both electronic and hard copies are properly filed
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or their equivalent
  • Previous work experience in Financial and/or Administration will be an advantage
  • Good computer communication, planning and organization skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Willingness to work to meet tight deadlines
