Sewerage Systems Ghana Limited (SSGL) is an engineering, construction and procurement specialist company which focuses on the provision of efficient liquid waste treatment. The Company, which is a fully Ghanaian owned company, has built two new faecal treatment plants (Lavender Hill Faecal Treatment Plant – near the Korle Lagoon and the Kotoku Faecal Treatment Plant- Adjen Kotoku) and rehabilitated the Mudor Sewerage Treatment Plant, also at James Town. The plants serve the populace of Accra, where they receive and treat, sewer and faecal sludge.

Job Description

• Determine the maintenance needs of all inbuilt equipment 
• Organize the required maintenance in-house 
• Organize the required maintenance contracted 
• Propose maintenance schedules 
• Check/ inspect completed works and advise if applicable
• Suggest replacement needs of equipment
• Responsible for providing enough accessories  and material parts for maintenance
• Suggest regular replacement maintenance programs to ensure plant efficiency 
• Maintain maintenance efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability
• Provide general technical assistance
• Submit weekly, monthly, yearly budgets and reports

Required Skills or Experience

• Have a minimum of eight (8) years relevant working experience 
• Be a member of recognized professional body (GhIE) and familiar with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand and inventory processes
• Proven supervisory and technical experience 
• Ability to pay attention to detail, solve problems and critically analyse issues
• Must have strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
• Must be a computer literat
