Sewerage Systems Ghana Limited (SSGL) is an engineering, construction and procurement specialist company which focuses on the provision of efficient liquid waste treatment. The Company, which is a fully Ghanaian owned company, has built two new faecal treatment plants (Lavender Hill Faecal Treatment Plant – near the Korle Lagoon and the Kotoku Faecal Treatment Plant- Adjen Kotoku) and rehabilitated the Mudor Sewerage Treatment Plant, also at James Town. The plants serve the populace of Accra, where they receive and treat, sewer and faecal sludge.

Job Description

• Location: Kumasi
• REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

• Responsible for executing electric maintenance, reparation works
• Inspect and maintain electrical equipment
• Calibration of probes
• Checking measurement devices
• In case of on-call duty coordinates the repair works
• Checking inverters, process control system, handling of error signals (measurement
• Circuit, digital and analog 4..20 ma, industrial bus system (ethernet and rs485)
• Handle SCADA system (online data, historical trends, data acquisition)
• Handle of SCADA error signals
• Evaluate system's safety, reliability and performance
• Maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability
• Assist during planning of maintenance activities
• Provide general technical assistance
• Submit weekly, monthly, yearly budgets and reports

• Proactively lead and keep employees motivated
• Enforce human resource policies and procedures
• Address employees’ issues or grievances
• Influence and learn from below

• Commit to plant safety procedures
• Perform risk assessments
• Perform other duties assigned

Required Skills or Experience

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
BSc degree in Electrical / Automation Engineering. An MSc will be an added advantage

• Have a minimum of eight (8) years relevant working experience
• Be a member of recognized professional body (GhIE) and familiar with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand and inventory processes
• Proven supervisory and technical experience
• Ability to pay attention to detail, solve problems and critically analyze issues
• Must have strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
• Must be a computer literate
