Job Description

  • PROJECT OR DIVISION Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
  • REPORTS TO Service Delivery Manager (SDM)
  • LOCATION Based in Tamale, with operations in Northern and Southern business operational territories

 

PURPOSE 
The Service  Delivery & Estimator (SD&E) oversees all activities in relation to Specials product cost estimation and on-boarding TBOs into the service delivery space. SD&E will also be responsible for the quality assurance of toilet deliveries including; planning and organizing production schedules, forecasting resource requirements, estimating, timely delivery and on-field coaching and quality audits for Service delivery Partners.

REPORT RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports directly to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM)
  • Works closely with the Service Delivery Partners (SDP), sales and Customer fulfilment team

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Modifications may be made at any time

  • Oversee, refine and improve all production processes
  • Monitor, develop and implement quality control and assurance strategies
  • Promptly response to all special product cost estimation request for COO approval
  • Identify training needs and develop training models for Service delivery Partners
  • Responsible for on-boarding and training of new toilet businesses and facilitating periodic refresher training for existing tbo’s
  • Ensuring that environmental, health and safety regulations are met
  • Develop operation and routine maintenance schedule for TBO’s
  • Develop appropriate manuals for installation, usage, production, and fabrications
  • Designing gender-sensitive products and services that fit into the WASH portfolio
  • Support the COO to in all product improvement exercises and prototyping of a new product
  • Develop a template to report on all environmental issues that emerge before, during and post-installation

Required Skills or Experience

  • Graduated from university with a degree in Mechanical, Civil or Process and Production Engineering
  • At least 5 years of work experience in product design and /or manufacturing.
  • Experience working in rural areas and with rural communities is an asset
  • Knowledge of WASH and/or user-centered design methodologies is an asset
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Fluency in at least one Northern Language (compulsory)
  • Holds a Valid License and Capability to ride a Motorbike
  • Microsoft Word and Excel
