Job Description

LOCATION: SPINTEX

Our client, a leading manufacturing company is currently looking to hire an experienced and proactive Human Resource Manager to help with their operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources Department and ensure a smooth functioning of the organization and Labour Relations. The role is a highly people-focused position that will require an individual with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to formulate policies and assign duties for productivity in organisation.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the execution of talent management processes including; recruiting & staffing, performance management, employee development and succession planning.
  • Support the organisation by providing strategic HR counsel and driving the company’s HR practices.
  • Handle and represent management in all union matters.
  • Ensure legal compliance with the labour law by monitoring and implementing applicable requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organisation at hearings.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure proper implementation of organisation’s policies and procedures.
  • Oversee organisation’s employee benefit and compensation programs and other HR company initiatives as required.
  • Partner with health and safety department to improve safety performance and reduce workers compensation costs.
  • Direct the day-to-day activities of the Human Resources Department.

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in Human Resource or similar discipline.
  • 7years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Well organized.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proven experience as HR manager.
  • In-depth understanding of the Labour Law and union matters.
  • Proficient in MS Office suit
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills
  • Assertive with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and take initiative.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships.
