Job Description

Transnational Academic Group Ghana Limited / Lancaster University Ghana is looking for a dynamic, competent and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Digital Marketing & Social media Officer.

Successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Digital Marketing & Social media Officer coordinates with internal Marketing and Public Relations functions in order to implement the university’s digital media strategy and communication strategy to increase recruitment, generate leads and build brand awareness in West Africa.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content Creation
    • Managing the university’s website by creating content, proof-reading and liaising with website developer;
    • Managing all social media platforms of the university;
    • Develop and implement LUG’s social media strategy and maximize profile across all activities. Maintain our social media presence
    • Optimize user experience to improve the user-rating feedback on ease of use of the social media platform
    • Identify digital trends and evaluate emerging technologies, use these to inform and evolve LUG’s core activities and outputs as well as dissemination plans.
    • Work closely with staff, students and the media club to develop online content of student life activities, University events and recruitment activities
  • Recruitment/Lead generation
    • Assists in organizing the university’s corporate events & recruitment events;
    • Analyses competitor activities
    • Analyses campaign performances through information provided by the front office, online analytic & Active Campaign used by the recruitment team;
    • Develop social media strategies to increase leads, brand awareness and followers
    • Assists in web marketing of the university and its activities;
    • Monitors and manages online campaigns and puts together comprehensive post-campaign reports;
    • Monitors budget spends for all online activities; and putting together comprehensive monthly /post campaign report
  • Support to Marketing Department
    • Assists in the design and/or production of marketing materials and managing the stock of collaterals;
    • Manages brand events for the university;
    • Represents the university at appropriate recruitment and promotional events;
    • Participates in all LUG events, student orientations, meetings workshops and graduations;
    • Assists in school visits, career expos, graduation functions, educational fairs, open days, networking events and exhibitions

Required Skills or Experience

The following qualifications and competencies are essential:

  • A good first degree in Marketing or equivalent discipline
  • In depth knowledge of the workings of social media platforms
  • 2-3 years working experience in digital marketing and social media content creation
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO, social media and digital marketing campaigns
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Proven experience of delivering successful integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking
  • Good report writing skills
