Our client, an international mining exploration and production firm is looking to hire a proactive Translator (Russia) to help with their operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE

The qualified candidate will be responsible for translating the Russian language to and from English for a Russian Geological team during exploration works in the Ashanti Region. This would include cooperation and intermediation in meetings and talks with local inhabitants, workers, chiefs, and authorities.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Travel with team to assist them in communicating with the natives.
• Translate spoken presentations or speeches for multilingual audiences and helping translate spoken words into written messages or required document.
• Cooperate and intermediate in meetings with local inhabitants and workers.
• Converse professionally in formal and informal situations to resolve problems.
• Provide explanations and offer supported opinions on work related issues.

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school Degree in preferably Russian high school, institute or college.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good social skills.
• Ability to educate and be educated.
• Proactiveness is the prevention of cultural misunderstandings.
• Ability to stay and work in a field during exploration works (Ashanti Region).
• Knowledge of local languages and traditions of the Ashanti Region.
• Knowledge and experience in exploration geologist technical terms.
