Job Description

  1. Support the Executive  Director to provide strategic direction, management and implementation of the SHINE Project in line with the project logframe and theory of Change. 
  2. Prepare annual and quarterly project Project Implementation Plan (PIP) – including budget preparation in collaboration with other project team members.
  3. Ensure proper and efficient role out of implementation plans in all the sixteen (16) project communities and also ensure that implemeantions are on schedule and within project budgets.
  4. Undertake performance monitoring and evaluation of project activities in collaboration with TradeAID Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in line with the Project Management Framework, and highlight successes, challenges, and lessons learned to integrate back into the program.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications, Competencies and Experiences:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, or just as valuable – and equivalent combination of experience and education in a relevant social sciences, gender, or business field with preference to those with training in business incubation models/approaches, an ideal candidate some of this experience would have been gained directly working with an NGO in Ghana.
  2. Project management experience with ability to prepare narrative and financial reports,  including: project financial management – budget preparation/analysis, project planning, monitoring, and donor reporting in English. An asset would be experience with results based management (RBM).
  3. Experience applying gender equality approaches to program design and implementation and practical ability to facilite gender roles, SGVB and gender equality training in rural communities.
  4. Experience with program planning (theory of change, logic models, monitoring and community-led evaluation (survey, focus groups, interviewing, most significant change)
  5. This position requires a motivated and innovative person with strong program management skills and an ability to work independently
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to lead but understands and believes in community led development.
  7.  Strong ability to communicate in written and spoken English, preference to candidates who are also competent in the local language(s) of the project location .
  8.  Ability and willingness to demonstrate the TradeAID Integrated and partner CFTC values in every aspect of work
  9.  Ready to work additional and flexible hours when required.
  10. Be passionate and excited about development especially the use of enterprise development as a modefl for poverty alleviation and employment generation
