Job Description

Reporting To : Assistant Plumbing Supervisor

Job Purpose

As WATER PUMPING STATION ATTENDANT, you will be part of the Construction Department of the Company, which covers Masonry, Carpentry, Plumbing & Electricals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The main accountabilities include but are not limited to:

• Reporting any equipment break down for timely repairs;
• Conducting periodic inspections of the water pumping system for safe and efficient operations;
• Ensuring the station and its equipment are safe, clean and in good condition;
• Tracing and analyzing cause of problem and advice on the course of action;
• Ensuring that there is enough flow of water in the estate and on timely bases as well;
• Maintaining and repairing water pumps in the estate together with the plumbing section;
• Monitoring and maintaining all solar pumps within the plantations;
• Conducting regular checks on the performance of all solar pumps within the plantations;
• Being able to complete connections and controlling the water flow;
• Ensuring that the pressure gauge on the pipes are kept at a safe level;
• Reporting all daily occurrences at the station to your immediate supervisor; and
• Performing any other duties that may be assigned to you by your Superior from time to time.

Required Skills or Experience

• Minimum of BECE Certificate plus apprenticeship certificate in pump installation i.e. (solar and electric pumps).
• Minimum of four (4) years working experience.
• Must be able to read and write basic English Language.
• Must be between the ages of 22 – 30 years.
