    Report to: Assistant General Manager (Operations)

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Beverage Program Development:
      • Develop and implement innovative and profitable beverage programs that align with the hotel's brand identity, target market, and revenue goals.
      • Design beverage menus, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options, that cater to the preferences and demographics of the hotel's guests.
      • Collaborate with the culinary team to create food and beverage pairings and themed promotions that enhance the guest experience and drive sales.
      • Monitor industry trends, market demands, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation in beverage offerings.
    2. Bar Management and Operations:
      • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all bars and beverage outlets, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
      • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for bar setup, service, and closing procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
      • Train and supervise bartenders and beverage servers on beverage preparation techniques, product knowledge, and customer service standards.
      • Monitor beverage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to maximize profitability while minimizing waste and shrinkage.
      • Implement quality control measures to ensure the freshness, presentation, and consistency of beverages served to guests.
    3. Guest Satisfaction and Service Excellence:
      • Maintain a guest-centric approach to beverage service, ensuring that guest needs and preferences are met and exceeded at all times.
      • Solicit guest feedback and reviews on beverage offerings and service quality, and take proactive measures to address any issues or concerns.
      • Foster a culture of hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork among beverage staff, empowering them to deliver exceptional service and create memorable experiences for guests.
      • Resolve guest complaints and inquiries related to beverages promptly and courteously, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
    4. Training and Development:
      • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for beverage staff to enhance their product knowledge, service skills, and sales techniques.
      • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to beverage staff to support their professional growth and development.
      • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging staff to pursue certifications, attend industry events, and stay updated on beverage trends and best practices.
    5. Compliance and Safety:
      • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
      • Implement responsible beverage service policies and procedures to promote the safe and responsible consumption of alcohol.
      • Monitor and enforce health and safety standards in beverage preparation areas, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to hygiene protocols.
      • Conduct regular inspections and audits of beverage outlets to identify and address any compliance or safety issues.
    Skills Required

    Qualifications/Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A certification in beverage management or sommelier accreditation is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in beverage management, bar operations, or hospitality management, with a focus on upscale or luxury properties.
    • Strong knowledge of beverage products, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as current industry trends and market dynamics.
    • Proven leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of beverage professionals to achieve performance goals and deliver exceptional service.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and suppliers.
    • Proficiency in beverage cost control, inventory management, and financial analysis, with the ability to maximize profitability while maintaining quality and service standards.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
