Job Purpose
The Laboratory Analyst will supervise the daily operations of the Assay Laboratory by assigning jobs to shift workforce and ensuring production targets are achieved in an efficient and effective manner in compliance with the Company's requirements, best practices and statutory requirements.
In summary, the Laboratory Analyst is the person in charge and supervisor of laboratory technical work, responsible for organizing laboratory personnel to complete daily inspection work in accordance with relevant quality standards and inspection operating procedures, and supervising and guiding the operation of inspection personnel; provide necessary resources for technical operations in the laboratory to ensure the quality of laboratory operations; develop and organize the implementation of inter laboratory comparison and capability verification work; regularly organize technical assessments and internal comparisons of laboratory operators; analyze and study data, master various assay methods and instrument operations, and ensure the correctness and accuracy of test results; in line with the duties below.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Strictly adhere to Namdini Health, Safety and Environmental Standards and ensure all employees understand and comply with all health, safety, environmental, and human resource policies, as well as regulations applicable to all sections of the Assay Laboratory.
- Conduct regular Laboratory inspections to identify hazards in the work area and ensure these hazards are mitigated on a timely basis.
- Ensure proper scheduling of Laboratory employees such that there is constant coverage for all tasks that need to be done within a shift.
- Ensure smooth operations of the Assay Laboratory by supervising daily tasks in accordance with standard specifications and procedures.
- Ensure that the facilities and environmental conditions required for testing activities are fulfilled to prevent adverse effects on the test results and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the results.
- Implement effective quality assurance and quality control processes that will aid in identifying deviations, evaluating measurements, correcting erroneous results from tests and analysis, and ensuring proper maintenance and timely calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure that the laboratory issues the test report objectively, accurately, clearly, and completely, and implement effective quality control over the standardization, preparation, information to be covered, issuance, archiving and other aspects of the report. This includes ensuring confidentiality of technical information and trade secrets.
- Provide leadership and training to all employees working under the laboratory to improve the quality of work being performed by the employees and actively participate in continuous improvement programs towards enhancing the performance of the Assay Laboratory. This includes training the Laboratory and Fire Assay Technicians on analytical theoretical knowledge, laboratory procedures, and equipment operation.
- Ensures the confidentiality of assay report-related results, information, and other contents. Ensuring confidentiality of technical information and trade secrets is essential.
- Performs any other related duties based on the exigencies of the Company as assigned by the Supervisor.
