    Job Purpose
    The senior supervisor of the gold room is the direct manager of the gold room and is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the gold room and the analysis process. Ensure that all operators on duty work in accordance with the procedures, all required process parameters are correctly implemented, lead the gold room team to complete the analysis and alchemy work, and strictly abide by the gold room security and confidentiality procedures.
     
    Primary Duties & Responsibilities
    • The production of gold is managed to achieve the planned quantity and quality.
    • Ensure that all safety and security procedures related to the elution and gold room are strictly followed. This includes holding safety meetings on time, finding and dealing with potential safety and environmental hazards, correcting any violations in the area, It is necessary to have a good response ability to emergencies and minimize the loss of accidents.
    • Ensure that the actual operating parameters of each position are within the specified range.
    • Ensure timely reporting and exchange information with relevant departments in a timely manner.
    • Make sure the equipment is in good working order operated in a safe and efficient manner. This includes cooperating with maintenance personnel to achieve efficient plant equipment performance and availability.
    • Reasonable suggestions are put forward to improve the elution rate and electrolysis efficiency.
    • Supervise the team effectively in achieving all set targets in a safe manner. Ensure that all personnel on duty work in accordance with procedures and perform their duties with due diligence. This includes providing necessary knowledge and skill training to subordinate operators; managing the performance of subordinate employees, complete the PMP of subordinate employees according to the requirements of personnel, and improve the efficiency of the team.
    • Effectively hand over large shifts, and all records for the operation and security are accurately maintained.
    • Reduce costs and contribute to the improvement of the company's efficiency.
    • Adhere to the inspection work of each post, strive to leave no dead ends, be objective and fair, do not go through the process, put an end to running and dripping, and maintain good environmental sanitation on site.
    • Manage and keep confidential all reports and information. Ensuring confidentiality of technical information and trade secrets is essential.
    • Performs any other related duties assigned by the Supervisor based on the exigencies of the Company
    Skills Required

    Minimum qualification (s)

    • Degree/ Higher National Diploma in Mineral, Metallurgical, Chemical or related engineering discipline.
    • Minerals Commission Process Officers Certificate of Competency
    • Valid Driver’s License

    Experience

    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in metalliferous mining, with a minimum of 5 years in gold room operations / processing.
    • Experience in gold elution and gold smelting for more than 5 years.
    • A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ gold room supervisory experience.

     

    Knowledge

    • Familiar with the process flow of the concentrator, have rich operating experience, have a certain basic knowledge of mineral processing, and be proficient in the analysis of gold-loaded carbon and gold smelting technology.
    • Problem Solving and Analytical Thinking is an advantage.
    • Must be Dynamic, self- motivated and demonstrate a determination to excel and commit to action.
