    Role Purpose
    To show reasonable competence and responsibility in ascertaining quality and prices for a company product and services.
    To draw AutoCAD,3D drawings and Rendition of AutoCAD and 3D drawings.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Calculate and determine how much it will cost a company to complete a project or provide a service or products to your esteemed clients.
    • Access quality of products and give assurance of services provided.
    • Laise directly with customers on progress and resolve any technical queries or any identified gaps.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
    • Prepare bidding documents for bid openings and offers/proposals.
    • Evaluate drawings, site surveys, existing estimates, site conditions.
    • Perform risk assessments and analysis and help determine the project cost and available material resources to reasonably estimate the cost of the project.
    • Review access quotes and advise on cost estimates.
    • Create and analyse required documents such as designs, blueprints, and relevant project plans to gain understanding of the project.
    • Determine what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.
    • Manage bids and prepare bidding documents for bids, offers or proposals.
    • Prepare and present estimates to management and other stakeholders.
    • Compile and document actual costs of projects.
    • Provide costing and quotation in a timely manner in line with customer drawings and specifications.
    • Carryout timely routine follow up on quotations.
    • Any other duty assigned by senior management.

     

    Skills Required

    Educational Background

    • BSc-Engineering, Construction management, construction science, Architecture, or relevant field
    • Added advantage: MBA-Relevant field, Background or related course in Accounting.

    Essential Criteria

    • Either hold a full relevant professional qualification or have significant experience of managing large projects in construction sector
    • The ability to independently interpret and analyse varied and complex information or situations and to produce solutions over the long term
    • The ability to communicate complicated and contentious information with varied audiences in person and/or writing.
    • Have experience of using ICT including relevant Engineering/Transport Planning/Sales systems e.g. CAD
    • The ability to make frequent decisions and exercise initiative independently to fulfil the requirements of the role
    • The ability to work under a high degree of pressure, including meeting unpredictable deadlines and dealing with conflicting demands
    • The ability to cope in situations where there is an emotional demand arising from the work being undertaken
    • Ability to provide day to day supervision to less-experienced members of the team including delegation and checking of work and provision of technical guidance, also covering for, and providing technical support to the Team  CLeader as required
    • Experience of monitoring and managing project budgets
    • Experience of contributing to the development of Engineering/Transport Planning/Sales Policies and Procedures
    • The ability to persuade others to adopt a course of action which is not necessarily their preferred approach
