The Ghana Arbitration Centre is organising a three day workshop on Domestic and International Arbitration with Practical Exercises.

Course Content

The workshop will, among other, educate prospective arbitration practitioners in domestic and international arbitration proceedings under Act 798 and underscore the critical importance for stakeholders in deploying the enonnous benefits of using arbitration to resolve their disputes expeditiously.A key component of this workshop will be practical exercises and role plays by participants. 

The outline of the syllabus includes but not limited to the following key subjects: 

• Introduction to Domestic and Intenational Arbitration
• Negotiating and Drafting ArbitJation Agreement 
• Commencing a Domestic and Intemational Arbitration  
• Responding to a Notice of Arbitration
• Constilution of the Arbitral Tribunal
• Challenging, Impeaching or Objecting to the Tribunal
• Arbitration Management Meeting/Procedural Meeting Under the Rules of Various Arbitration Institutions 
• Drafting of Pleadilgs in Domestic and International Arbitration
• Principles of Conducting an Arbitral Hearing 
• Moot Hearing
• Discussion of Moot Hearing
• Cost of the Arbitration

Fees

• Three Thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢3,000.00) for early bird registration (before 20th June. 2018) and Three Thousand Five Hundred Ghana cedis (GH3,500.00) for late registraion (after 21- June, 2018).
• The registraion fee covers tuition for the three (3) days, course materials and lunch breaks.
