About the Role

Zonda Tec Ghana Limited is seeking a skilled Ghanaian Chinese Cook to prepare authentic, hygienic, and nutritionally balanced Chinese meals for our expatriate Chinese management and engineering staff based in Tema. The ideal candidate will bridge culinary expectations by adapting traditional Chinese recipes to locally available Ghanaian ingredients while maintaining authentic taste, texture, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare three daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for Chinese expatriate staff, plus occasional guests.

• Master essential Chinese cooking techniques: stir-frying, steaming, braising, and soup making.

• Prepare staple Chinese items: steamed rice, congee, noodles (hand-pulled or dried), dumplings, baozi, and stir-fried vegetables.

• Source fresh, quality ingredients from Tema markets, Chinese grocery stores (e.g., China Mall, Lotte), and local suppliers.

• Properly store raw and cooked foods, manage cross-contamination risks (halal/non-halal if required), and ensure all meat, seafood, and tofu are freshly handled.

• Clean cooking utensils, woks, and dining area after each meal.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of verifiable experience cooking Chinese cuisine in a restaurant, hotel, or expatriate household in Ghana.

• Ability to read and understand basic recipe notes in English.

• Knowledge of local Ghanaian markets and substitute ingredients for Chinese staples.
