Description
BGSL is seeking applications from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals to fill the following position: Client Relationship Officers - - SEP
Duty stations: Konongo and Akim Oda
PURPOSE:
The Client Relationship Officer - SEP will perform underwritings of new and existing loans to assess the financial conditions and repayment capacities of prospective clients, and the risks associated with the transactions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Confirm daily attendance, movement and client’s business visit.
Survey business, find out potential entrepreneurs and assess them properly through physical visit of entrepreneur’s business and residence.
Verify the necessary documents of prospective entrepreneurs (trading license, land agreement, Tenancy Agreement, Spouse consent, Nominee and guarantor’s information etc.)
Prepare and complete necessary documents for loan disbursements
Collect all needed documents from the individual clients and for loan disbursements
Ensure on time payment of monthly installment by Mobile money / bank
Prepare and document necessary reports and target plans
Visit borrowers after disbursements
Make frequent field visits to confirm quality disbursements
Liaise with AM and lawyers in the signing and commissioning legal papers
Make weekly & monthly requisitions for loan disbursement.
Ensure quality disbursement and monthly overdue collections
Ensure that information about death of the borrower/ dependents are collected and submitted to insurers on time
Follow-up with collecting written off loans and depositing to accounts
Always adhere to the Code of Conduct for Microfinance staff and treat clients respectfully.
Strive to provide the best quality service to clients, at field and at the branch office
Listen to clients’ complaints/concerns/opinions carefully and take appropriate measures
Prepare and submit progress reports
Safeguarding responsibilities:
Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy.
Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
EXPERIENCE
Cash and Bank transactions. Cash Requisition preparation, Cash Certificate preparation and bank Reconciliation statement
Knowledge in application Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
Experience: At least one year’s experience working in Microfinance/financial Institution.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of MS World, MS Excel
Effective communication skills.
Writing and reporting skills in English
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Minimum of SHS certificate (WASSCE) Concentration / Major
