English Teacher

·         Teach students to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.

·         Build confidence in communication, critical thinking, and literary analysis while adapting lessons to different skill levels.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum

• Plan and deliver lessons in grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and oral communication.

• Teach literature, and creative writing

• Differentiate instruction for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners

• Assessment & Feedback

• Design quizzes, assignments, and exams to evaluate progress

• Provide clear, constructive feedback on essays, presentations, and speaking tasks

• Track student performance and adjust teaching methods as needed

• Classroom Management

• Create an engaging, respectful classroom environment

• Maintain discipline and encourage participation

• Use tech, multimedia, and real-world materials to make lessons practical

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, Diploma in Basic Education, WASSCE graduate with a strong English background/skill

• Experience: 1-3 years teaching experience preferred, but entry-level roles exist

• Skills: Strong command of English, clear communication, lesson planning, patience, adaptability

• Tools: Familiarity with Google Classroom, Zoom, MS Office, or other edtech

• Proximity: Kpone, Community 25, Dawhenya and Prampram
