Job Summary

To oversee and coordinate all financial activities across the Group, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and cost control. The role ensures sound financial management to support operational efficiency,strategic financial decision,growth and profitability while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with department heads.

  • Analyze financial performance against budget and provide variance explanations.

Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal financial policies.

  • Maintain general ledger integrity and supervise reconciliation of accounts.

  • Manage end-of-month and year-end closing processes.

Cash Flow and Treasury Management

  • Monitor daily cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and fleet expansion.

  • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.

  • Oversee loan repayments, interest obligations, and financing arrangements.

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Oversee billing processes for rentals, corporate contracts, chauffeur services, and long-term leases.

  • Ensure timely invoicing and strict adherence to agreed credit terms.

  • Monitor receivables ageing and enforce effective debt collection strategies.

Approve customer credit limits and perform credit risk assessments.

  • Liaise with sales and operations teams to resolve billing disputes.

  • Reduce bad debts through proactive follow-ups and policy enforcement.

Accounts Payable Management

  • Oversee supplier payments including vehicle purchases, leasing, insurance, fuel, maintenance, spare parts, and vendors.

  • Ensure timely processing and payment of invoices in line with agreed terms.

  • Monitor payables ageing and manage supplier relationships.

  • Implement approval controls to prevent unauthorized or duplicate payments.

  • Optimize payment cycles to support cash flow management.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and statutory filings.

  • Coordinate tax planning initiatives to optimize the group’s tax position.

  • Liaise with tax authorities and external tax consultants.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.7

External Audit Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors for the Group and all subsidiaries.

  • Plan and coordinate annual statutory audits, including audit timelines, deliverables, and information requests.

  • Prepare and review audit schedules, working papers, and supporting documentation.

  • Ensure prompt resolution of audit queries and management letter points.

  • Coordinate responses to audit findings and oversee implementation of audit recommendations.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff.

  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and procurement departments to align financial goals.

  • Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or ERP systems).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Sound understanding of vehicle financing, leasing, and asset management.

  • Leadership, communication, and team management skills.

  • Integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or CIMA) preferred.

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of financial management experience, ideally in the automotive, logistics, or car rental industry.
