Role Overview
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment at the MSIG service delivery centre. The role ensures high standards of cleanliness to support quality healthcare services and infection prevention protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cleaning & Hygiene (Centre)
Clean consultation rooms, recovery areas, offices, washrooms, and waiting areas
Sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect all designated areas daily
Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) standards.
Properly segregate and dispose of general and medical waste in line with guidelines.
2. Centre & Operational Support
Replace hygiene supplies such as soap, tissue, and sanitizers.
Support preparation and turnaround of clinical areas before and after procedures.
Assist with laundry duties (linens, gowns, drapes) where required.
Report maintenance issues, faults, or safety concerns promptly
Ensure cleaning tools and materials are properly maintained and stored
3. Compliance & Standards
Adhere to MSIG health, safety, and safeguarding policies at all times
Maintain high standards of hygiene in the centre
Support compliance with audits and inspections where required.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of Junior High School (JHS) education or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare facility
Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
Good time management and attention to detail
High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism
