Job Summary
The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing and controlling stock within the showroom and store. The role ensures accurate inventory records, proper stock handling, timely replenishment, and effective coordination with sales and accounts to support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stock Management (Showroom & Store)
Maintain accurate records of all inventory in the showroom and storage areas
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of electronic products
Categorize and label fast-moving and high-value items appropriately
Issue stock based on approved sales orders or requisitions
2. Stock Reconciliation & Audit
Conduct routine physical stock counts and reconcile with system records
Perform daily stock updates and match with sales transactions
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly
Carry out weekly and monthly stock checks
Support internal and external audits with required documentation
Generate regular inventory reports for management
3. Reorder & Stock Control
Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, overstocking, and damage
Apply inventory management methods such as FIFO (First-In-First-Out)
Identify slow-moving and obsolete items and report accordingly
Raise purchase requisitions when stock reaches reorder levels
Track deliveries and confirm receipt against purchase orders
Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels
4. Loss Prevention & Control
Monitor stock in showroom and storage areas to prevent loss
Report damaged, missing, or stolen items immediately
Enforce company policies on stock handling and movement
Ensure accountability for all stock issued
5. Goods Receiving & Issuing
Verify all incoming goods against purchase orders
Record, label, and store new stock accurately
Ensure stock is issued only with proper authorization
Maintain proper documentation for all stock movements
6. Coordination with Sales & Accounts
Provide daily stock updates to sales associates
Inform sales team of product availability for customer orders
Share stock movement data with accounts for reconciliation
Support pricing and costing analysis with the accounts team
7. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
Provide insights on fast-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete stock
Assist management in forecasting demand based on sales trends
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
2–4 years’ experience in inventory or store management (preferably in electronics/retail)
Skills & Competencies

Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory software)
