Norsaac is a human-rights, community engagement, and policy influencing organization serving Ghana to promote social transformation and improved living conditions. It works with networks of women, youth, children, excluded groups, and like-minded organizations to strengthen their agency to claim and exercise their rights. Since 2002, Norsaac has become one of Ghana’s leading organizations collaborating with communities and target groups to empower individuals through increased knowledge and skills. Norsaac further engages target groups, along with additional stakeholders, to influence community-level change (e.g., provision of quality services; altering community norms, beliefs, and practices; influencing gatekeepers in homes, communities, and formal structures).
Norsaac in Partnership with Children Believe is implementing the “Nalerigu Area Child Development Program (NACDP)” in East Mamprusi Municipal in the Northeast Region of Ghana. NACDP is a comprehensive sponsorship initiative focused on improving the well-being of children and families in underserved communities. The program operates under key thematic areas, including Education, Health and Nutrition, in Thriving Communities, Child Protection and Participation, Gender Equality & Social Inclusion, Youth Employability & Economic Empowerment.
In partnership with Children Believe, NORSAAC is embarking on the construction of a Child Welfare Clinic (CWC) to improve health care delivery in the Kolinvai and its environs. Currently CWC services are being provided in the community market, where nursing mothers and babies are exposed to rain, insects, sun, and other harsh weather conditions. The facility, when provided, will cater to a population of Four Thousand, One Hundred and Twenty-Seven (4, 127) direct beneficiaries in the CHIPs zone and surrounding communities.
